I am unable to download PDFs from web sites when using Firefox, but I have no problem with any other browser. Please explain. I have Windows 11 pro and my email server is Protonmail. I also have LibreWolfe and Vivaldi browsers, both of which allow me to read, print and download without any problems. Your help would be appreciated. Regards, Alan.

When I opened Firefox, all my profile settings were back to a Default. Lost all my settings. Looked up solution on Google, couldn't find an "Old Firefox Data Folder" anywhere.

Tried the other listed "profiles" in my profiles folder, none were my most recent profile with all my settings from the past months.

How can I find the profile that was used before my update which was done 7/27/25 ish.

There is ONE SPECIFIC email message in my inbox that I cannot move, copy or delete. Whether I drag-and-drop or use drop down menu - same result. This is the ONLY message in all my email accounts/inboxes which has this problem.

Continuing the attempt to move or copy causes the drop down menu to ask me if I want to move/copy the message AGAIN - but it still does not move or get copied. Hitting "Delete" on my keyboard or clicking the "garbage can" icon in the drop down menu has no effect - the email remains in my inbox.

I am using Tbird 140.1.0esr (64-bit)

In the pass some of my e-mail accounts that were working were not recognizing my password. Now 3 more accounts are not recognizing my passwords even though they were working before. I tried the troubleshooting routine. I'm wondering if I should completely remove Thunderbird and re-install?

The automatic setup fails to find the settings when creating a new mail account.

Manually setting up the account settings returns an error that Thunderbird can't find the server. The system has no issues finding the server. Calendar in Thunderbird has no issues finding the server but when trying to setup an email account I get the error that it can't find the server.

Pressing continue creates the settings but fails to create a username and password for the account.

There is now way to create a username and password for the account so it fails to connect to the server.

There is no way to create an account by providing all the information. We don't need a nanny, we need something that works.

Why did we mess with something that worked? How do I add an account manually?

All of a sudden, I can't access several websites through Firefox that I have used for years -- but I CAN access them in other browsers, like Chrome and Safari. Also, Firefox no longer works with my password manager. Until about two weeks ago, I could always autofill login information, but no more.

What gives? I am up to date on my IOS (Sequoia 15.5) and on my version of firefox -- and my password manager app. Superfrustrating. I hate to have to turn to Chrome as my primary browser since I hate Google, but I might end up doing that and just not using Firefox anymore, after like 20 years of having it as my primary browser.

when I select fn and f11 on my key board, I want to permanently show both the menu bar at the top of the screen and the bookmarks line across the line just below the search line

I downloaded Firefox not too long ago to combat the fact the Microsoft Edge wasn't working correctly, but ever since I downloaded Firefox it's been making my computer run really slow on the browser. Things are often slow like scrolling up on and down pages websites like Pinterest, and the text when typing on Google docs takes a moment to show up after I've typed it and not instantly, for example.

I checked my computer's task manager because I recently cleaned the laptop, thinking that something else was causing it to be slow, but it isn't. I don't have many processes open on the computer mainly mandatory things and my browser, since I use my laptop mainly for school work, music, or writing. Firefox opens multiple processes, the highest being 21 at one time, and takes up most of the memory on the laptop. Is this normal? Because it takes 1,094.0 MB and keeps my laptop's memory at 90-91%. If it isn't normal, how can I reduce this as well as the lag on my laptop when Firefox is open?

I keep installing the Add-on to customize the message body toolbar. Unfortunately, the toolbar returns after a while. Now I can't seem to find the Add-on to customize it.

Any ideas? James

I have spent the last two hours trying to get my Bookmarks amd history back. I am exhausted and very worried. Firsty I tried going through the Menu, but there is no list of backups there. and there is no history, either!

Then I tried looking in about:profiles - I only have three:

oi853qa9.default, 7sh8b0ii.default-release, and d41afk6n.default-release-1. Only the first one of these contains any bookmark files.

Ideally, I would like to restore the most recent of these, or the second most recent, if the newest one is corrupted in some way. However I cannot find a way to do that from the information I have seen tonight. I hope you will be able to help me out,

Hi Mozilla Support Community, I’ve been trying to print a restaurant menu from this page: https://olivegardenmenue.com/olive-garden-dinner-menu/ using Firefox, but I keep running into formatting issues—some parts of the menu are cut off, and images don’t appear correctly.

I’ve already tried using print preview, adjusting margins, and changing scaling options, but it doesn’t seem to fix the layout. Is there a Firefox setting or extension that helps with printing full web pages, especially content-heavy ones like restaurant menus?

I have been trying for days to get back my passwords and bookmarks. The support articles are not terribly helpful. All I want is to restore my bookmarks and passwords that Mozilla wiped out. I have the old Firefox folder but the support page says just copy what you need. please, is there a simple way to restore my bookmarks and passwords without having to jump through hoops.

Since I upgraded Thunderbird 141.0, my outgoing emails hang.

When I close Thunderbird, and continue with outgoing email after opening Thunderbird, it soon hangs again.

If I save as I go along, I can recover the draft.

However, the longer I am busy with the email, the more often it hangs, despite saving my progress. After some time, it only saves a word, then a few sentences down, only a part of the word, and by the end it hangs before I can save anything.

Please help!

Hello, i've installed new version of windows 11 24h2 on my computer, and migrated my pop3 email profile to the newly installed system on a diferent drive. I've been doing that quite a lot for my friends and coworkers and never had a problem. Right now im having an issue where thunderbird while using send to on a file through windows or through diferent app does not create a blank mail template with an attachment. Alredy tried: - fixing by running thunderbird installer from thunderbird.net (did nothing) - setting up default sendto protocol up in windows to browser or thunderbird(did nothing) - in thunderbird settings its set as a default mail app (that usualy did the trick if i had problems with it) - disabling antivirus because maybe they are interfering (did nothing) To describe the issue more precisely: you use send to mail recipient and thunderbird pulls up, but without created blank template with attachment, i see just my inbox. Maybe i'm missing somthing thats why i decided to post, i hope sombody has an answer and i hope its just my fault and i dont have to reinstall the whole system again.
